Every year, I've watched how my students are moved by an author's craft and style. We annotate text, and compare characters by noticing how they change as a result of their experiences. Our Dual Immersion program is growing and will soon be offered to fifth graders at our school. Since this is the first time our students will be learning in Spanish at the fifth grade level, I'd like to add this set of books to our classroom library. It will give students the opportunity to engage with text and borrow techniques from great authors.
