Flexible seating in the classroom provides students with the ability to move around and interact with different peers. Flexible seating allows students to engage their minds, creativity, and collaboration with peers to keep them invested in learning and education. Flexible seating is a tool to help support learners in the classroom who need to move around and the ability to fidget. Flexible seating provides my students in special education the ability to calm their bodies and focus their mind on content and learning happening in the classroom. This also provides the rest of my class the opportunity to move around from peers and seating to find their best learning spot that maximizes engagement.
