My classroom library will include popular fiction books, as well as books that show my students they can do anything if they put their minds to it. Women in Science, careers in STEM, and books on conservation will help my students explore their possible futures. The fiction selections will decrease the word-count deficit many of my students face. This research-driven method of library development has had proven results in other classrooms, and I hope to use this method to best support my students. With access to high-quality fiction and STEM texts, it's my hope that we can inspire another generation of scientists, authors, mathematicians, and dreamers.
