This fridge will help my students better understand multiple scientific concepts throughout the academic year. Here are a couple of examples. In the first 2 weeks of school, students will learn how to design, perform and publish experiments based on the scientific method. They will perform experiments about the effectiveness of mask wearing and hand washing to curb the spread of the ongoing pandemic. The fridge is required to store the petri dishes they use to gather data for their experiments. Secondly, the fridge will also help demonstrate the effect of temperature on the movement of gas particles in the second unit when we cover Kinetic Molecular Theory. We also use the fridge in our third unit to demonstrate the effect of temperature on the rate of reactions.
