My daily work is supporting students with the skills of dealing with their emotions and helping them understand what they mean. I strive to keep up with the latest research and data-driven strategies in order to help my students in the best way possible. Now more than ever, students need social-emotional skills to navigate our world effectively. Not only are these skills imperative to their future success, they are also a critical bridge to learning. Children have difficulty learning under stress. People often expect students to come to school with the knowledge, skills, and ability to self regulate and get along with others, but they don't.
