Science is a discipline that is based on experimentation and observation of phenomena. Through exploration, asking questions, performing experiments, collecting data, presenting and analyzing results and reaching conclusions, students learn not just about science but about skills that are transferable to other realms of life. Unfortunately, distance learning has had a dire impact on the ability of students to interact with laboratory equipment and perform hands-on activities. One of the few ways to help students is online simulations and labs. It is not the same, but it is the best we can do for now.
