Please help to fund a recycling program for my school. My 3rd-5th grade student council members have shown an interest in recycling. Students are concerned about the amount of paper and other materials that are thrown in the trash each day. Our students would like for our school to start a recycling program. Our county has provided our school with an outdoor recycling dumpster that will be picked up by the county recycling services. Our school is responsible for collecting and placing any recyclable items in that special dumpster. As of now most items go into the regular trash dumpster. Our county will accept the following items in the outdoor recycling dumpster: Plastic: Bottles, tubs, jugs. Metal: All cans. Paper: paper, cartons, and cardboard. Our current student council president wrote a speech that was read aloud to our student body about why we should recycle and pointed out how many recyclable items we see going into the trash every day.
