I am starting to create a flexible seating/sensory environment within my classroom. By doing so, my students will have opportunities for collaboration as well as modes to work independently. This multi-sensory environment will best support the many needs of the students in my classroom. With this rug and other sensory items, my students will have a relaxing place to work and grow academically. Many of my students struggle to focus when seated in a traditional manner. The items provided by this project will give students independence and choice over their learning.
