During a school day, my students participate in daily read to self, partner discussions, listen to reading, guided reading, and a variety of ELA centers. I want to ensure my students are confident in their ability to catch-up with the curriculum. I also want to ease my parents' fears of their child not being ready for the second grade because of COVID-19. Offering digital devices will help meet the needs of my students and their families. Students will be able to practice their sounds and sight words every day they are in class. They will also listen to stories and answer comprehension questions. In addition, they can use the MP4 players to review their quarterly goals and record themselves reading, so they can improve on their fluency. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
