After grading their math quizzes I am in awe of how much work needs to be done to get these kids on grade level, and I am also excited to serve in a role where I am able to use my hard-earned teaching skills to help my new students. However, I am going to need some help since I teach at a public school where resources are extremely limited. We need math manipulatives, games, and other tools so that students can see and touch math, which will help them to connect the mathematical concepts to the real world. Some of my students are working on foundational skills that require manipulatives to help them play games that will help them acquire knowledge of base 10. These tools are necessary for me to help all students, especially those who are visual and kinesthetic learners.

About my class
