While the architecture of our school has a lot to offer, our room specifically creates several challenges. Our main issue has been with the acoustics of the room, as it is extremely large, and has a number of highly reflective surfaces. Teaching in our classroom space currently requires a lot of shouting, and even then the students have trouble hearing the lessons. Even a person about 10 feet away will have trouble hearing clearly. Many students have trouble staying engaged with lessons that they can't hear, and we are hoping to get some help remedying this by installing floor coverings, and ceiling treatments to reduce the echoes in the room.
