The morning meeting is where it all begins for our class! It's our time to greet each other with a fist bump, a hug, a pinky shake or even a silly dance. It's our time to share. We share exciting things that happened while we were home. Sometimes we share things that may make us feel a little sad. It's also our time to review that new topic that we learned the other day. Most importantly, it is our time to build on our classroom community. The place where we convene for our morning meeting serves as an integral part of our classroom experience. Having this classroom rug will provide my students with a communal space to work together to engage in problem-solving activities, partner discussions, and help us build a solid classroom community.
