Keeping in tune with a 21st century academic environment, my students are often given independent or partner research assignments. The ability to watch and listen to videos online without competing with the sounds around them in an active learning environment will be priceless. Not having to search the school for working headphones will make my students get started on their assignments quickly. Often my lessons are conducted in a flipped classroom format, where students watch pre-recorded mini-lessons on school provided laptops on their technology days. On these days we are able to work in small groups, allowing me to working with teacher guided groups while the other groups work on independent, partner or group assignments.
