I plan to run a skill building group for a cohort of 6th grader ladies. The group will focus on social emotional learning aimed to help build relational skills with self and with others. These journals will be used to extend the learning outside of just our group time. The prompts in this journal will help young ladies think about their own story and to find their voice. Girl's will have homework to keep up on their journal writing every week. I will collect the journals, read, and respond. We will then use the writing as a jumping off point for our group discussion and skill sessions.
