Art has many benefits. It helps physical and cognitive development. It allows students to be creative and have a voice. It also builds on their self-esteem. I want my students to have the opportunity to experience different art forms. I have found that some students enjoy drawing, while others lean towards sculpting. Overall, my students are eager to explore other mediums from what they have seen so far. By providing clay, my students can extend their art beyond paper. It will also cater to those students who have a greater interest in hand building. Offering another fun way to create art, and ultimately help my students gain from all the benefits of art.
