This PD project will help our administrative team teach our 140 person staff about self care and the importance of focusing on their own Mental Health. We will be able to teach about “tapping” and be able to provide a safe quiet place for them to practice it through the day, when ever they need it. Through this professional development we will offer Yoga, meditation, and zen workshops. Which will allow us to talk about how to incorporate this naturally throughout their day! Professional development that focuses on the teachers wellness will allow each staff member to recover mid day, rejuvenate before the afternoon stretch, and most importantly shake those heavy worries BEFORE they carry them home to their own families. The percent of teachers that are choosing to change careers right now, is astronomical and we plan to do everything we can to help ours live a well rounded health life. If our adults are not healthy our children will not be ready to learn.
