My students represent great diversity in terms of their abilities, goals, and interests. My students work in large and small groups and individually to improve their reading and writing skills. With support my children will be able to engage in a variety of reading experiences which will help them to become avid, enthusiastic life long readers. Having access to an iPad with appropriate apps will greatly increase the engagement and learning potential of my students. There are apps like Epic which will help my students to build independent reading skills. My hope is to seek out other apps which will support our writing curriculum. Using a technology tool such as an iPad is motivating to students regardless of ability level.
