My students spend their day playing, exploring, and learning. They use their bodies and minds to interact with their world and use a lot of energy to grow their knowledge. This is why we provide a period of time for them to relax and rest each day. This time is critical for our young learners because a tired child cannot learn to their fullest capacity. My students are enthusiastic learners and need time to calm their bodies and recharge their minds. By providing comfortable blankets and pillows to my students, I can help them get the most benefit from their rest time.
