I find it more beneficial and easier to keep up with color coded notes, and as time goes by, so do my students. My student's keep up better when they have colorful notes, study guides, and letters to their parents. However, we do not have a color printer or ink to make this happen. My students grave to print their creative writing stories on white paper with colorful headings and images to accompany their stories, study guides, presentations, and letters home. My students create their own study guides on Chromebooks, and I send them home weekly. However, they are always printed in black and white. I have had several students tell me that color notes are easier to study with and would like to be able to print their work in color. This printer will also be used for when they create vocabulary cards on the word processor. Now, they will be able to print them and have a wonderful colorful study tool. It is also creative writing time in second grade and my students are working hard on producing some very imaginative projects, such as nonfiction stories, fiction stories, poetry, and illustrated stories. They need a color printer to make their final drafts publisher worthy. I am asking for a Brother color printer with color and black ink to get my students through the year. Please consider helping their dream of colorful work come true.
