I am determined for each of my Dyslexic and Dysgraphic students to have the opportunity to have their own electronic dictionary. Often with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia the paper dictionary tends to be harder to navigate and takes a lot more time than electronic dictionaries. Many of my 3rd-5th grade students are sharing a few dictionaries in class and with COVID we are in need of a few more in order to have one to one devices. Yes, they do love the game feature but that is only a benefit since the games are spelling focused. They also love to look up their favorite words and not only see the definition in the dictionary but also, can discover synonyms and related concepts as well.
