The materials I've chosen for my project will help foster imaginative play while promoting academic and fine motor skills. The students will be able to use the materials independently in centers, promoting imaginative play while building social skills. The students will also have use of the materials throughout our daily lessons, in small groups and large group. One of the best ways for young children to learn is through play. By allowing the students to play with these materials they will be exposed to a variety of skills, such as counting, sorting, color recognition, and patterns, to name a few.
