Both lower and upper grade students use the media center on a daily basis. Students utilize the entire media center to read and complete activities. Flexible and comfortable spaces would allow students the freedom of taking better advantage of the learning commons. Flexible seating allows students to remain calm, increases productivity and enhances creativity. The flexible seating will provide the welcoming factor that is needed to increase creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication. A successful learning common according to Beth Holland, a leading library media expert, needs to be open and transparent, as well as inviting for all students.

About my class
