A large part of social-emotional learning is students' abilities to learn through their communities and the world around them. In our school, students learn through a personalized learning program. This mixed set of manipulatives and tools, including globes and mirrors, will enable my students to better study real and natural applications of mathematics, both locally and worldwide. Learning how mathematics can be applied in the real world will help students be better prepared for their future careers and their adult lives. The materials listed in this project will allow for more learning opportunities and explorations with my students, giving better and equitable access to these opportunities for students with different ability levels. Through these shared experiences, my students will have a more unified sense of community in our school and community through mathematics learning.
