Having books in my classroom that are relatable and culturally relevant will foster and love of reading. Using books clubs and allowing for student choice in reading will hopefully teach my students to have a love of reading. When they realize that they can relate to a book and 'see themselves' in what they are reading gives the opportunity to have such a huge impact in the lives of my students. By creating a space where students feel comfortable, and putting books in their hands that they can connect with will allow for a whole other world to come alive in their lives. Help me to be able to do this for my students and see the difference that will be made in the upcoming generation.

About my class
