We do much labeling and color-coding of the activities we do every day in every subject. We don't have any colored pencils, only old crayons. The crayons are too short and too thick to be accurate, quite often. My students would be able to make thinner, straighter lines with a set of colored pencils each. They could label things with easier-to-read letters. Crayon writing does not work well. The kids also can distinguish between parts of things so much easier with different colors, instead of just the gray of regular pencils. We would love to make a nice thank you project for the donor, to show how we appreciate the help.
