This gift of a color printer, toner, and cardstock would be shared by 3 classrooms that instruct students with intellectual impairments ranging from moderate to severe. We rely on a wonderful online curriculum and also create essential instructional tools such as visual schedules, communication symbols, and learning manipulatives, but these elements must be downloaded and printed for individualized instruction. Our district no longer provides printers or ink for classroom teachers, even for special education. Each elementary school has two large copiers in the media center where we can print and make copies in black and white, but no color printers are available for teachers. With meaningful materials in color, instructors can ensure these deserving students have the tools to encourage academic success. We need a reliable color printer and ink refills to provide instructional materials that will motivate and stimulate learning. Thank you for considering a contribution to my first DonorsChoose project. Our students, their parents, and our caring teachers will be grateful for your help!
