In this film course, we need to be able to view the masterpieces and critically acclaimed cinematic creations that have shaped the beginnings and growth of the medium and its relation to the literary realm of the spoken word. Students will be analyzing works of literature and then seeing how the elements of film help create a story. This study of cinematic techniques and the evolution of how the medium has advanced will be the focus of our study. The students enrolled in Film as a Literary Art Form thrive on the here and now. Their excitement with the world around them and how it evolves creates an energy in the room. This energy they create builds the love of fostering their growth. The creative thinking they continuously display provides endless challenges in providing thoughtful content and research into the most appropriate works to analyze. Hence, imaginative and critically acclaimed films need to be viewed for such analysis. Without the resources of film, a deepening of their understanding just cannot reach its potential.
