The students in my classroom come to my resource room for a variety of reasons. Some are there for math, reading or writing support. Some need support with behavior management. Others need support with communication and social skills. There are also times when they come to just take a break or have earned free time for working so hard. The games I am asking for in this project will allow my students to work on specific skills as well as enjoy some free time when they earned it. My students would be able to work on their skills while having fun in a game. Games like Chutes and Ladders, Candy Land, Uno and Sorry are perfect for working on turn taking, accepting wins/loses and problem solving. Games like Rush Hour, Jenga and Yeti in My Spaghetti are great for problem solving and patience building. They would also help the student work on communicating what they think would work. Every game listed would be an amazing support for my students as well as allow them to enjoy their free time and reward them for working so hard.
