These materials will be used during a structured play time . Activities are supervised and social skills lessons are taught through participating in activities that require compromise, taking turns,imagination, and creativity. It is through cooperative play students learn basic social skills that they can use throughout their lives. The various materials requested promote a playful environment that encourages students to share, take turns, make compromises, and just have fun. Through playing, students grow and develop both academically and socially. Students learn to work in a group setting and contribute to play in a meaningful way.Play is a necessary component to learning .
