Have you ever heard a teacher say, "I just can't get them to sit still"? Some students do not need to sit still to be paying attention and others really struggle to pay attention unless they have at least a little wiggle room. I plan on giving my students the option to use a flexible seat such as stool or peanut whenever they feel that they need it in my classroom. The flexible seats such as wobble chairs and peanut yoga balls help my students to focus by allowing them to expend some extra energy so that they can dial in on the task at hand. The headphones will also give students the ability to focus by allowing multiple students to access the audio of a text without having other students hear what they are reading. These chairs and headphones will be used on a daily basis and help students with their productivity in the classroom.
