I try to give our students hands on experiences as much as possible in my classroom. Each year we dissect squids and cow eyes for further understanding. My students need some newer tools and materials for these dissections. The tools we have are so old and don’t work like they should making it hard for the students to dissect. The students also love reading the Time leveled readers and they will help to facilitate learning of the topics we are studying and provide further questions which is what we strive for! These items will also solidify the subject matter by not just reading it, but by making it hands on.
