Research for students has become a Google search. There is nothing wrong with research using Google, but much of the information is inaccurate and/or not biology-based. I plan to use these books for both my biology and my environmental science classes. Oftentimes students can't picture the animals we are talking about, so colorful pictures are a must! Environmental science students will be asked to create a project about an animal of their choosing. They will need to include information about the habitat, such as describing how the human impacts are affecting the animals' population. In my biology classes, we will use them when we talk about classification and ecology. Students can use the books to investigate different phylum of Animalia.
