Can I have a pencil? May I sharpen my pencil? These 2 questions are the top questions that I get every day. My response to this, unfortunately, is always "I'm sorry, I don't have one"This is how a typical day starts off in my classes. At the beginning of the year, my students are usually equipped with writing materials to learn. However, as time goes on they lose their pens and pencils and are unable to participate actively in the lessons without these materials. Not having these necessary classroom materials is negatively affecting my students' willingness to learn. I want to get these supplies to pencil them into success.
