My students are currently working to write and illustrate a children's book about Florence Price. They have created cut paper backgrounds and are now illustrating the character on top of their work. It's going to be an incredible book. Right now, we're relying on the personal device of one of my students. It would be ideal to have an ipad pro for the classroom so more students could try out the app and so we could use it day-to-day. This device would also enable me to make better use of the jamboard in our classroom to demonstrate annotation with close reading and other strategies in the future.
