My students will create Nascar style wooden cars from scraps of wood. The project will make use of woodworking skills, aerodynamics, commercialism, and physics. The students will select sponsors after doing a research report regarding a company. After they create the research, they will select a logo to decorate the cars. Cars look very similar to real stock cars. The students must weigh the cars and do a lot of modifying in order to qualify to race. Once all of the modifications are done and approved, they will start painting and finally apply the decals with the companies logos. The paint that I am asking for is to paint the wheels black wheels which complete the look of the race car.
