If I had a smart board in my room for my language learners they could learn to interact and visualize the lessons more. Touching, seeing and using live videos/pictures help them build vocabulary and be "in" the lesson rather than just watching the lesson. Students learn so much more by using visuals and hands-on activities and it's amazing to watch their eyes light up when they get it! I use a lot of manipulatives and having a smart board would enhance the learning experience for them in my classroom. I am the only teacher in our building without one, which I'm sad to admit.
