What if you eadr letters and numbers backwards? What if you had trouble decoding and blending vowels to make words? This is the day to day battle one of my students faces everyday she shows up to school. She was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia. She is a middle school student who is becoming more self-aware and self-conscious about her abilities compared to her peers. She finally got approved to receive assistive technology. I found this modern book reader can help her look 'stylish" while giving her access to a dictionary and can read aloud words and sentences. She will be able to excel her reading comprehension skills with this tool. I plan on helping her utilize this assistive technology in most of her classes.
