My students rage from the ages of 6 to 7 years of age. My students have grown up in the age of technology and it has become a part of their lives. My goal with our new laptops is to create a learning environment in which my little learners will thrive. Technology is what my students are used to and it makes them excited to learn. On our laptops we use learning games that connect with our lessons and enhance the students' knowledge. They enjoy our games such as i-Ready learning, Reflex Math, and Typing Club. These learning application allow us to really teach them where they are at since many of our learners range in levels. I have students who do not know their letters. I pull them into daily small groups but there is only so much time in the day. While I have these low students I also have students who are bored with the content since their knowledge level is much higher. These laptops would give all types of learners and individualized learning environment. I use laptops in centers and in down time. The students ASK ME if they can go on. They enjoy it and it has proven to be beneficial to their education and expanding of their knowledge.
