Recently my classroom was updated to an Active Learning classroom, however, in doing so my students have lost some of their storage space for supplies. We were extremely excited about the update because it has allowed my students to have more of a flexible seating arrangement which encourages and promotes the Active Learning process. Providing my students with the chair back buddy's and create-a-space center, they will have their supplies at their fingertips. This will help save time and element ruffling through their backpacks. This will streamline the Active Learning process. In addition to our need for storage space, we are building our classroom library. These books will enhance our classroom library and provide more options for my students to explore and use during their independent reading time. Donating to our project will help my students become better organized, provide them with easy access to their material, and give us more time to focus on Active Learning and less time digging for what they need. The chair back buddies will also provide a space for my students to house the books that they have chosen from our classroom library, which will contain our new additions. In all my students really need to have easy access to their supplies. Even though they are fifth graders and will be moving on to middle school next year the easier organization will set them up for success today and in the future!
