Can you sit for in a chair for 50 minutes without moving? My students have learning disabilities that impact their ability to learn. Research proves providing flexible seating to students - with and without learning disabilities - helps them stay focused, be more calm, process information better which helps them to learn better. Kids need to wobble, bounce and sometimes even just stand for a while. I have a couple of students who will take about 5 minutes and walk around my circle rug, then sit back down to do their work. If a student is not comfortable in their seat, they are not going to be a productive student. I want to help my students be productive and focused in my classroom.
