My classroom provides academic, social, and behavioral support for students on the Autism Spectrum. A number of our students are non-verbal, and therefore struggle to communicate with the people around them. This iPad would be used to trial AAC devices for non-verbal students. By using AAC devices, students will be able to engage with the world around them in so many new ways! These devices can be used at school, home, or out in the community. In using AAC students will be able to better communicate their wants and needs. In addition, it will help them build positive social relationships with the people they interact with.
