The use of the meeting area is a daily activity in my classroom, especially during reading instruction. Students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The rug would allow us to have an area to meet, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Students will know that they must meet on the rug for differentiated instruction. Even though they are great about doing this, having a specific spot to meet would be fantastic! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand. Plus it will brighten up the classroom and give the students more space to collaboratively work.
