Students who can record themselves singing can learn to reflect on their work and make decisions about their next steps in learning. Many of my students have no access to technology for recording and submitting their sight singing or singing work. Giving them access to technology designed to help them record and grow as singers is a gift that will last a life-time! Students will learn how to introduce themselves in a recorded project with the video capability of the iPad. They will be able to access the online sight singing program to work independently and to improve their music reading skills. Finally, singers will be able to get real feedback from their director and will be able to assess their own level of proficiency from their singing submissions! Finally, with the help of Google Classroom on the iPad, students will have an archive of their recordings and will be able to see the growth from year to year in chorus!
