I have a book club with students on issues pertaining to women. Students will explore factors that influence and shape them as we discuss Michelle Obama's book "Becoming." As young women form their identity, it is important to have a good role model to analyze and admire. We will discuss the different stages of Michelle Obama's life and the values she formed. We will discuss the impact of women in today's world and the contributions Michelle Obama made. This book club will serve to empower young women to obtain their dreams. They will be asked to form ideas, values and beliefs to guide them in the future.
