Knitting is considered difficult and frustrating, but my students will learn that it is so much more. Knitting is a good skill and hobby. My students will appreciate a hands-on approach as well as the ability to create something. My FACS classes will benefit from this productive and somewhat fading art. They will learn a new skill, be able to explore a craft, and many of the projects will be donated to local collections for winter wear. Knitting allows for many opportunities to experiment and be generous. The kids will not only open themselves to a new experience, but they will create warm memories of school to look back on.
