I teach students who read at varying levels. Having a diverse classroom library that caters to a wide range of reading levels would greatly enhance my students' ability to apply complex comprehension and critical thinking skills to texts they find accessible and interesting. Offering my students a chance to take part in their own reading choices would allow them to cultivate their own engagement and delve into the literary richness they often feel eludes them because of a traditionally rigid adherence to common class texts. A variety of books would definitely aid in their enjoyment, comprehension and ultimate literary experience.
