Working with little hands can be tough. My students need the opportunity to be able to "play" through learning while giving their little hands the work they need to strengthen their muscles. We would use these amazing materials in small groups to work on fine motor skills while also reinforcing letters, sounds, and numbers. We will also use these materials in interventions with students who are struggling and need some extra help. These hands-on activities will be great resources for all learners. We will also have a parent night in which we could teach their parents ways to help them at home and show them the hands-on manipulatives which not only help fine motor but reinforce letters and numbers. It is a win-win for all. What a great way to involve parents and get them engaged in their child's learning! When the year started we have several children who could not hold a pencil or cut. These materials will greatly impact how they work with their hands and then begin to cut, color, write, and grow as learners.
