Kindergarten students need constant movement and with flexible seating, those need can be met. I'm requesting tractor seats and wobble cushions. Studies have shown that flexible seating such as bouncy seats, standing desks, wobble chairs, etc, allow students to focus more. Having tables lowered and raised to match the seating options will allow my students to be more comfortable. Flexible seating encourages and teaches learning independence, and allows students to make better decisions about their learning style! It is important in early childhood education that children feel safe and comfortable in the least restrictive learning environment. These simple seats will greatly benefit these students success in the classroom!
