A standing table serves many purposes in a classroom. While not all students will use the table, it is helpful for those who wish to. Some students wish to stand, and, as a result of being able to, they are more productive in class. Having choices for students on where and how they sit or stand in a classroom is beneficial because it gives them the opportunity to choose the best spot for themselves and their learning. Sometimes something as simple as getting up from the traditional desk, walking around a bit to get to the standing table, and then standing at it to work can be enough to refocus and revive a tired student. This table will give my students that choice.
