My students need to build a solid foundation with number sense and place value. I believe giving them the opportunity to use Manipulatives would help them to master certain math skills. The games would reinforce and allow them to review what they have learned. This would also allow my students the opportunity to self assess and allow students to know what they have mastered and what they need to work on. Students would become more fluent with addition and subtraction . This foundation would help them with higher order math thinking skills. I would really like to see my students grow greatly in their math proficiency this year!
